One of the 9 projects of the Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 call awarded to the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, corresponds to CRETUS. This is the REVELSEA proposal (Operationalizing relational values for a more equitable marine conservation) by Natali Lazzari, which obtained the highest score in the final evaluation. The researcher will join the team led by Sebastián Villasante, CRETUS researcher and Distinguished Oportunius Researcher of the Xunta de Galicia and coordinator of the ERC project EqualSea.
The MSCA grant in the Global modality will allow postdoctoral researcher Natali Lazzari, an international mobility and the development of her research career with funding of up to 36 months. During this period, Natali will develop the REVELSEA project that will provide a novel theoretical approach and empirical evidence to quantify, predict, and integrate into marine conservation the diverse ways people express why they value their relationship with nature (relational values) in coastal systems.
With this success achieved, CRETUS reinforces its talent attraction program, one of its main objectives within its Strategic Plan and contributes to the extraordinary result achieved by the USC in this call that places it, after University of Granada, in the second place.
