CRETUS joins the Galician University Research Center Network (CIGUS) according to the resolution published on 30th April (DOG 85). The new CIGUS Network is now composed by 10 centers: CiQUS – Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials, CiTIUS (Singular Center for Research in Intelligent Technologies), CiMUS (Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases), Galician Institute of High Energy Physics (IGFAE), AtlanTTic Research Center, CITIC Research UDC, CINBIO and Mariña Research Center (CIM-UVigo), that have renewed their accreditations in this network for 4 more years, and, CICA from UDC, the other center, as CRETUS, newly in this Call. Congratulations to all the centers for this achievement!
CRETUS has been the only newly incorporated USC center to obtain this grant, and it becomes the fifth USC Singular Center to have this accreditation. This success of CRETUS makes the institution USC host half of the centers of excellence in Galicia.
The total funding obtained (1,598,666.67€ for the next 4 years), will allow CRETUS to advance and promote its research to become an international reference center in the generation of scientific knowledge and cutting-edge solutions, facing environmental challenges.
