During the technical visit to the facilities that Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has in A Coruña, we had the opportunity to learn about the company’s strategy on sustainability issues and its action plan for key areas such as water treatment and waste management. This visit also allowed us to present the CRETUS Center in greater depth as well as our capabilities in these areas.
🚰 For water treatment, aerobic granulation reactors and their potential for obtaining biopolymers (Anuska Mosquera) and membrane reactors for water reuse (Juan M.Garrido) were presented.
🍌 For the Valorization of the organic fraction, were presented our experience and projects in Composting issues (Sarah Fiol) and technosols ad hoc, as a waste management system for the Circular Economy (Felipe Macías))
♻ In Impact on the environment, the LCA, Ecodesign, and Carbon Footprint Tools were presented to reduce the environmental impact of production processes (Gumersindo Feijoo) and the work on the Impact of microplastics on seabirds on the Galician coast (Xose Luis Otero)
