On April 8th, the new institutional Chair between the USC and the transport company MONBUS was officially presented. It will be directed by Sara González, CRETUS researcher and associate professor of chemical engineering .This collaboration between USC and MONBUS will allow for work on the digital and sustainable transformation of public transport and on the promotion of active and healthy mobility.

The main research line on which the Chair will focus are:

i) Decarbonization of the transport sector, with special emphasis on innovation in “zero-carbon” fuels

ii) Active travel and sustainable mobility

iii) Promotion of active living, especially in the school context

The ceremony, held at the Rector’s Office, was chaired by Rector Antonio López and featured speakers from both the president of MONBUS, Raúl López, and the director of the Chair, Professor Sara González, who was accompanied by Maite Moreira, the scientific director of CRETUS, and pre- and postdoctoral researchers from the Center.
