The Centre for Cross-disciplinary Research in Environmental Technologies (CRETUS) at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) opens a call for the affiliation of permanent academic staff (Professors or Associate Professors) of the USC interested in joining the Centre as Principal Investigators (PIs).

Researchers who intend to be appointed as Principal Investigators (PIs) in CRETUS should meet standards of excellence and scientific competence, positioning the Centre at the forefront of environmental science and technology at the international level. Their research activity should be clearly aligned with the CRETUS research agenda and strategy.

The evaluation will be based on a set of indicators grouped under four main scientific criteria: Excellence, Contributions, Leadership and Recognition, covering the period 2019–2024.

Interested candidates must submit an expression of interest (template available in the attached document) along with a summary CV for the last 10 years, highlighting achievements from 2019 to 2024.

According to USC regulations, researchers may be affiliated with only one Research Centre or Institute. Therefore, applications from staff currently affiliated with another centre/institute will only be accepted if their current commitment is for less than one year.

All documentation must be submitted via email to cretus.rrhh@usc.es unitl September 25th 2025.

If your research is aligned with the CRETUS agenda and you believe that collaborating within a multidisciplinary team can enhance your professional development, we strongly encourage you to apply.
