Eighteen researchers from CRETUS are included in the “Ranking of Spanish and Spain-based women researchers”, prepared by CSIC through the Cybermetrics Lab of the IPP. The ranking includes more than 12,000 female scientists with the highest impact indicators — h-index and citation counts — based on their Google Scholar and OpenAlex profiles, linked to ORCID identifiers.

The data for this edition were collected up to the second half of May 2026, and the list is ordered by h-index (with a minimum threshold of 20), using total citations as a tie-breaker and considering the best ranking position achieved across platforms. Among the 18 CRETUS researchers recognized in this ranking, 5 are in the top 500: Maite Moreira, Sara González, María Llompart, Marta Carballa, Carmen García.

In this context, the nine CRETUS researchers represent 14.5% of the USC researchers included in the TOP3000, a significant presence that reflects the centre’s contribution to scientific output and knowledge advancement from an open science perspective based on recognized impact indicators.
