The PROVULNER-AXUDA project, led by Ramón y Cajal researcher Andrei Quintiá and Professor of Administrative Law at the USC Beltrán Puentes, aims to advance the design of innovative solutions to build a more proactive digital administration in the support of people in vulnerable situations.
The proposal’s potential in terms of knowledge transfer to society and its degree of innovation, among other aspects, led the University of Santiago de Compostela, through the Knowledge Valorisation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship Area (AVTE), to award it the highest evaluation in the Call for Knowledge Transfer in Social Sciences, Humanities, Legal Sciences and Arts 2026. The project achieved 90 out of 100 points and obtained full requested funding, amounting to €9,832.40.
A pilot project with the City Council of Santiago
As its first real-world application, PROVULNER-AXUDA will develop a pilot project in collaboration with the Social Services Department of the City Council of Santiago de Compostela. The initiative aims to transform the traditional model of access to social benefits into a simpler and more accessible one, in which the administration can act more proactively in identifying eligible beneficiaries.
Knowledge transfer with social impact
PROVULNER-AXUDA is an example of effective knowledge transfer from research to the improvement of public services. The initiative continues a line of work developed by CRETUS researchers within the Armela research group, coordinated by PI Alba Nogueira.
