Laura Rubio, 1st prize of the III Contest of Stories Against Gender Violence
On November 25, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the prizes of the “III Contest of Stories against Gender-based Violence” were presented, in which Laura Rubio, predoctoral researcher of the Department of Analytical Chemistry , Nutrition and Bromatology of the LIDSA group won the 1st prize with their story entitled «Calquera». These awards are financed with funds from the State Pact against gender violence of the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Equality. Congratulations Laura!

The USC School of Chemistry organized the “O que non ves” photography contest, with the aim of displaying images that interrelate scientific knowledge with the composition of our surroundings under a scientific, particularly chemical approach. The photograph that won the first prize was «Visible and reversible balance», an image of Maria Celeiro, a postdoctoral researcher at CRETUS who, like Laura Rubio, belongs to the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology and the LIDSA group of the USC . Paula Carrera, Miguel Martínez, Andrés Pichel, Sergio Santorio and Lucía Argiz, finalists of the “Innovation in Healthy Eating” Competition of Larsa
This week we knew that 5 pre-doctoral researchers from CRETUS of the Environmental Biotechnology group (Biogroup) were moving on to the next phase of the II edition of the contest «innovation in healthy eating. Boosting Galicia »organized by Larsa in collaboration with the University of Santiago. The elaborations, still in competition, with which they are already finalists are «stuffed cheese bonbons».
This contest open to students, university graduates or young entrepreneurs from all over the national territory seeks primarily to promote the undertaking of technological innovation projects, products, ingredients or processes that promote health through nutrition.
In a few months they will know who the winners are, which we hope will be Paula, Miguel, Andrés, Sergio and Lucía. Good luck!
