Gumersindo Feijoo, researcher of the CRETUS Institute, was interviewed by La voz de Galicia Journal on January 28th on the occasion of the World Day for reducing CO2 emissions. Gumersindo Feijoo, Maite Moreira and Sara González, also members of both CRETUS and the Group of Environmental Biotechnology (Biogroup), have a long background in the study of the carbon footprint. They are committed to the Atlantic diet, not only for its nutritional value but also for being respectful with the environment. The Atlantic Diet is based on the consumption of local food products (avoiding emissions from long-distance imports) and seasonal (avoiding energy consumption to produce products from other seasons).
