I Symposium: New challenges in the development and application of environmental technologies

Objective: Conference for young CRETUS researchers and REGATA network
This activity is included in the conference for young researchers that the REGATA network together with the strategic group CRETUS organizes to improve the communication skills of its doctoral students while promoting the exchange of information and knowledge so that they can find possible collaborations or synergies with other groups
The day had the presentation of 12 oral presentations and 10 poster type from 9 different research groups, which gave the day a multidisciplinary nature. During the Symposium, participants and listeners (35) had time to interact, meet and exchange impressions that was one of the main objectives of the Symposium. In addition they also participated actively with questions and valuing the exposures through a survey. At the end, a small awards ceremony was held with a jury formed by professors Marta Lores (LIDSA), Mª Carmen Veiga (BIOENGIN) and Ana Otero (Aquabiotec).
Awards
– Best Oral presentation for Irma Riádigos (GFNL-USC) for his work “Study of the atmosphere with a high resolution Cosmic Ray detector”
– Best poster for Mª Eugenia Guerra (LIDSA-USC) for her work “Solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method for the analysis of synthetic dyes in water samples”
