Research contract to develop a Doctoral Thesis within Marie Curie NANAQUA network

We are looking for a motivated person with scientific curiosity to pursue a PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in the field of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, funded by the NANAQUA project, financed by the European Union. The candidate will join the Marie Curie NANAQUA network, led by a European consortium that aims to train doctoral researchers in nanotechnology-enabled water treatment. The aim of the PhD is: ‘To explore the impact of nanomaterials on the efficiency of partial nitrification and anaerobic ammonium oxidation (Anammox) processes for the simultaneous removal of nitrogen and emerging compounds from wastewater’ and will be supervised by Anuska Mosquera and Sonia Suárez.

In addition to research activities, the Marie Curie network promotes research stays, participation in training activities, and attendance at dissemination events.

We offer:

•    A contract for 30 months with a monthly gross salary of 2.326 € (12 instalments).

We are looking for someone with:

•    Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or similar.
•    Interest in applied research and knowledge generation.
•    Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn.
